grew a new brain so i could find and fill a $25B market gap...

I love Beyoncé.
I found her late — as a sophomore in college, 2013 — sitting stunned during her Super Bowl performance while my friends shook me out of a stupor.
It was the first time I believed in God:
a human so otherworldly she could only be described as divine.
It was also the first time a question stirred inside me:
What would living up to my fullest potential look, feel, sound, and be like?
My Default Founder Operating System: “OS1”
When I started this company in 2020, I ran on the default founder OS:
Pick an obvious problem → solve it better, faster, cheaper → make money.
Influencer marketing was expensive
If we could unlock everyday influencers (500–1k followers), we could lower costs for brands
We built two products to make that happen
First Product: “Alcamy” social post payment processor

Second Product: “Swaypay” cash back app

My conviction was anchored to visible, measurable indicators like:
Number of TikToks posted
Number of shoppers using the app
Hit Wall
By the end of 2022, something cracked.
I was about to turn 30.
Despite working harder than ever, the company was stalling.
No matter how hard we optimized, we were trapped at a local maximum outcome:
A glorified tech-enabled influencer marketing agency,
not a category-defining company.
And it gnawed at me.
I wasn’t here to for a soft landing.
Forced Clarity
By the end of 2023, the introspective questions sharpened:
How the fuck is more effort still not pushing the business forward?
Why does pushing harder just make everything worse?
Then the harder truth surfaced:
The constraint wasn’t the business.
It was my underdeveloped frontal lobe.
I had the executive functioning of a teenager:
unable to pause under pressure, self-regulate, synthesize patterns, or build new frameworks when old ones collapsed.
The Brain Upgrades: OS1 → OS2 → OS3
Phase | Core Frame | Skill Analogy |
---|---|---|
OS 1.0 (2020-2023) | Reactive Executive Function | Eat what others grow. |
OS 2.0 (2024) | Independent Executive Function | Eat what I grow. |
OS 3.0 (2025) | Generative Executive Function | Grow what others will need to eat. |
OS 1.0: Externally Validated Operator (2020–2023)
Structural Flaw:
I anchored 100% to externally validated consensus reality:
Obvious problems. Obvious metrics. Obvious answers.
Timeline | Method | In Practice |
---|---|---|
Fall 2023 | Confront Actual Outcome | Catch 22: More optimization = faster collapse. |
2021–2023 | Push Toward Externally Validated Outcome | Tried to make influencer marketing cheaper, bigger. |
2021–2023 | Measure Success Through Externally Validated Indicators | Counted TikToks, active users, etc. |
2021–2023 | Experiment with Externally Validated Approaches | Expand influencer supply via cash back rewards. |
2020 | Start with Externally Validated Problem | "Influencer marketing is too expensive." |
OS 2.0: Self-Auditing Operator (2023–Mid 2024)
Structural Shift:
Broke away from external validation, became sole generator and validator of insight by excavating original invisible constraints.
Timeline | Method | In Practice |
---|---|---|
Early 2023 | Interrogate Internally Validated Reality | Why did 3 years of optimization only accelerate collapse? |
Mid 2023 | Excavate Invisible Problems | Regulatory fragility, brand reputation risk, legal exposure. |
2024 | Anchor Conviction In Implicit Signals | Tightening brand rules, rising legal scrutiny under the surface. |
OS 3.0: System Architect (Late 2024-Present)
Structural Shift:
I stopped fixing broken systems.
I started preemptively designing what replaces it.
Timeline | Method | In Practice |
---|---|---|
Early 2024 | Spot Outlier Leading Indicators | FTC ban, class actions, confirming systemic collapse. |
Mid 2024 | Lock Conviction in Implicit Signals | Signals too overwhelming to ignore, even as consensus lagged. |
Late 2024–Present | Architect the New Foundation | Began building the compliance infrastructure layer brands and creators would depend on. |
Summary:
✅ OS1: Anchored to external validation → local maximum → collapse
✅ OS2: Cut external validation → mapped hidden constraints → internal truth source
✅ OS3: Left broken system behind → architected new terrain before market caught up
A Closing Reflection
Visual Overview:
OS1 = trapped expanding influencer spend (orange curve)
→ OS2 = surfaced hidden constraint: regulatory fragility, legal exposure
→ OS3 = redirected to build compliance infrastructure first (blue curve)

Result:
Moved from saturated collapse zone → to first position in a $25B invisible category.
And yet none of this guarantees any outcome.
Goodnight.
