I was hunted by a clinical psychopath.

In 2023, I was stripped to my core.

I’m not talking about the usual “catastrophizing” of business problems, growing pains, or grief we all face on the path to maturity.

For months, I was hunted by a force that wasn’t driven by greed, but by something darker—the desire to break me.

It was a raw, visceral existential threat. An unrelenting forcing function that pushed me to confront my deepest fears and summon a strength I otherwise never would have known existed inside me. (A strength I hope none of you ever have to call upon.)

But what I didn’t expect to gain from that experience was a superpower.

A newfound ability to sniff out deception.

I learned to see cracks invisible to the plain eye—the lies veiled in eloquence, the manipulation buried beneath half-truths, beneath fast talking, beneath “tight deadlines.”

Now, I use this superpower in everything I do—especially at SwayID.

Why does this matter?

Because deception isn’t just in conversations; it’s everywhere—especially in influencer marketing. Businesses must stay ahead of it now more than ever given the new $43k fines per deceptive influencer post, UGC ad, testimonial, and endorsement in effect since October 2024.

In case you didn’t know, the vast majority of influencers openly admit to lying in their posts. (Here’s a YouTube video published just a few days ago revealing how influencers have been lying for years, why they do it, and what it means for consumers.)

We exist to catch deceptive influencer risks before they cost you. With our solution, we give you the peace of mind that your marketing is transparent, compliant, and trustworthy—stopping deceptive UGC and influencer posts before they’re published, protecting your brand, reputation, and future.
